Happy full moon! This week the sky isn't being subtle about anything. The lunar Nodes just closed out an eighteen month chapter, out of Pisces and Virgo, the seeking sign and the fixing sign, dissolve into something bigger or perfect it until it's finally right, which is the exact loop I stopped believing was healing a long time ago, straight into Leo and Aquarius instead.

We’re in the in-between right now, still inside the Eclipse corridor that split the sky on the 12th and closes on the 27th. Something sprouting AND something decaying, at the exact same time.

We’re standing in the dark moon right now, the crone energy of this lunar cycle finally condensing down to what’s actually true. It goes exact on August 12th at 11:47am Mountain time, a total solar eclipse, the Moon passing directly in front of the Sun over Iceland and northern Spain. Not something to fear, something to respect instead.

This week’s Holy Raw is immersive, moving through the real sky, Pluto in Aquarius for the first time since the 1790s, the North Node just walking into that same sign for the first time in over two hundred years, Isis riding the Sun, and Medusa squared hard against Jupiter, her whole story in here, power taken from her and then blamed on her, worn on someone else’s shield instead of ever being held the way it should have been. Same thing I keep watching in real relationships right now, men who seemingly can’t hold a woman changing underneath them, can’t hold the decay of the parts of her that are dying off. Sacred female power, a phrase I carry from Laura Amazzone’s book on Durga, not sacred feminine, on purpose. Maybe the Moon is the container, and masculine in nature. What it holds always was hers. Decay isn’t failure, it’s compost.

Today’s last quarter moon lands in Taurus on the tropical wheel, the self asking you to slow down and ground the soul’s fire still burning underneath in Aries, while the Sun keeps blazing through Leo, building toward the total solar eclipse on August 12th. Ground the fire, let the Sun lead.

This week’s Holy Raw is about what that Leo fire is actually for, the older kind, divine will instead of ego, the animating spark that gives you the authority to shape your own timeline in the first place. If you’ve noticed, I don’t share these thoughts and posts on the same day every week. I follow lunar and astrological rhythm instead of a fixed calendar, and today’s a big one, we’re on the First Quarter Moon while the sky holds Barbault’s Basket, four outer planets converged at 4 degrees of their signs at once, a configuration astrologers are calling one of the rarest in recorded history, an incredibly auspicious celestial event. When we remain in a frequency of benevolence, for the good of all, harm of none, there’s no telling what kind of peace we can bring to this planet.

These four planets aren’t spread across all four elements, they’re concentrated in just two, Fire and Air, the two elements astrology calls active and outward moving. Air feeds fire, so whatever’s burning in the collective right now has plenty of oxygen behind it.

That same kind of looking is what cracked this next story open for me in the first place.

I have an experience I don’t share with many people.

I’ve been coming out of body since I was sixteen, and there’s one night I keep coming back to. I got up, checked on my kids like I always do, and that night I looked at myself in the mirror.

I was dead. Not symbolically. I looked lifeless, and it scared me so deeply I thought I wouldn’t come back.

It took years before I understood what that face was actually showing me, I wasn’t dying from anything happening to me, I was dying from the life force energy I was giving away on purpose every day.

You are not unlovable. Giving your life force energy away into disappearance was a strategy you built so young to get the love that wasn’t reaching you, and your mind has protected that strategy ever since by calling it safety.

The more I let myself actually see it, the more it becomes the way back to knowing myself, and loving myself, for real.

Libra Full Moon, and it feels like a bright mirror quiet, tender, and strangely clarifying. Aries Sun, Libra Moon: that sacred tension between self and relationship, between telling the truth and keeping things “smooth.” Since the New Moon and Equinox, what have you been breathing in what have you been calling “fine” because it’s familiar, even as your body has been registering the cost?

I keep returning to an old living symbol: the heart on the scales, weighed against a feather. Not as dogma but a question of alignment. What becomes lighter in you when you stop outsourcing your truth? What becomes heavier when you keep negotiating with yourself?

And yes, the sky is loud right now too Regulus, the Heart of the Lion, all the prophecy threads, the “fireball” language moving fast online. You have permission to hold both wonder and discernment in the same body. Let the symbolic be meaningful without letting fear write the story.

As I write this, we are sitting in the dark moon, on the threshold before the new moon. Within this portal, we are also deep in the transition of Ophiuchus, the serpent bearer. The only constellation not connected to Earth, Water, Fire or Air, but connected to Ether.

On December 19th, three powerful thresholds converge. We shift out of Ophiuchus into Sagittarius. The Sun meets the Moon for a Sagittarius New Moon. We enter Winter Solstice, a three-day window where the Sun takes a pause through the rebirth canal, the dark moon of the year.

This is a super powerful, sacred portal. A lineup for us as humans to walk through. Beautiful, absolutely immense gateways deeper into ourselves….
